Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Nigerians to support the reforms of the Bola Tinubu administration.
Yilwatda made the appeal while congratulating Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement issued by Abimbola Tooki, his media aide, the APC chairman described the festival as a season of sacrifice, obedience, unity, and devotion to God.
He said the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir are important to Nigeria’s development at a critical stage in the country’s history.
“Sacrifice, patience, perseverance and collective responsibility are essential ingredients needed to build a stronger, more united and prosperous nation,” the statement reads.
Yilwatda urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to promote peaceful coexistence and national unity across ethnic, religious, and political divides.
He also said the reforms are aimed at strengthening the economy, improving infrastructure, enhancing security, and creating jobs.
According to him, the reforms require patience and shared sacrifice.
“While the reforms may require patience and shared sacrifice, they are necessary steps towards restoring economic stability, strengthening institutions and securing a brighter future for generations yet unborn,” he added.
Yilwatda expressed confidence that Nigeria would emerge stronger and economically competitive under Tinubu.
He also urged Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, security, and progress in the country during the Eid celebration.
