PHOTOS: Hamzat, wife present Lagos APC guber primary results to Tinubu

Obafemi Hamzat, deputy governor of Lagos state, and his wife, Oluremi, have visited President Bola Tinubu to present the official results of the Lagos All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election.

Hamzat disclosed this in a Facebook post on Saturday following his emergence as the governorship candidate of the APC for the 2027 Lagos governorship election.

According to him, the visit was also an opportunity to express gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by party members and stakeholders.

“I remain deeply grateful for the trust placed in me. Securing the party’s nomination for the 2027 governorship election is both an honour and a profound responsibility,” Hamzat wrote.

“We are working every single day to ensure that our state remains a place where every family can thrive, every business can grow, and every young person can find real opportunities.

“The energy and trust you have placed in this vision mean everything to us. The journey ahead is about turning that shared hope into meaningful progress for everyone.”

Hamzat’s emergence as the APC candidate positions him as the ruling party’s frontrunner in the race to succeed the current Lagos governor in 2027.
