Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have unanimously endorsed Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
The decision was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday in the Samonda area of Ibadan, where top party figures threw their weight behind the lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District.
Party sources described the endorsement as a strategic move aimed at ensuring unity within the APC ahead of the 2027 polls, positioning Alli as the party’s strong contender for the governorship race.
