A former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, on Monday suggested that former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, may dump the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, for another political party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ahmad noted that should former Vice President Atiku Abubakar
decide to join the NDC, Obi and Kwankwaso may leave for another political
party.
In an X post, Ahmad suggested that Obi and Kwankwaso can’t
stand Atiku in a primary election contest.
He wrote: “So what if Atiku Abubakar decides to join the
NDC? Peter Obi and Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso will simply pack their bags and look
for another party because they cannot stand against him in a primary contest?”
