President Bola Tinubu has expressed Nigeria’s readiness to deploy its military might when needed.
Tinubu stated this on Friday at the second day of the Africa
CEO Forum, currently being held in Rwanda.
When asked how to bring Nigeria back to the period when its
military muscle was respected across Africa, Tinubu said Nigeria’s diplomatic
military might is still intact.
“Nigeria’s military muscles is there. People might think,
because of the narrow path of the challenges that we face today, we are empty.
“You had the Sudan crisis, we stabilized it and the entire
West Africa to some extent.
“We recently stabilised Benin Republic. It was a quick
action against the intruders. I didn’t waste time and didn’t need to ask
anybody.
“It was quick and fast. Challenges will always be there, but
we just have to be focused and alert. Nigeria is ready,” he said.
