The Federal Government has announced plans to revolutionise Nigeria’s security architecture with the deployment of the Multi-domain Hybrid Intelligence Shield (HIS), an advanced AI-driven defence system.
During a high-level visit to Monaco, Defence Minister Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd) witnessed live demonstrations of the technology, which includes:
AI-powered threat identification and analysis
Anti-drone interception systems
Enhanced radar detection and mobile surveillance capabilities
The initiative is a strategic partnership with MARSS UK Ltd and MPS Mikopowers Ltd.
It focuses on technology transfer to strengthen Nigeria’s ability to combat terrorism, piracy, illegal mining, and other emerging security threats through cutting-edge multi-domain intelligence solutions.
The project signals a major shift toward tech-enabled defence, aiming to provide real-time situational awareness and rapid response across Nigeria’s security landscape.
