Nasarawa APC Primary: Aspirant Cries Foul, Party Defends Process

A leading APC governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State, Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna, has rejected the outcome of the party’s governorship primary, describing it as a “sham” riddled with irregularities and disenfranchisement.

Prof. Haruna, a former NASENI boss, said electoral materials and officials failed to reach several wards, including his own polling unit, while accusing some officials of bias and intimidation in favour of the leading aspirant, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.

He described the exercise as “sheer allocation of figures” in most wards and urged the APC national leadership to cancel the primary and conduct a fresh one.

Reacting to the allegations, the Nasarawa State APC Publicity Secretary, Augustine Ogaba, insisted that the primary was free, fair, and credible across all 147 wards.

He advised Haruna to present his complaints to the party’s appeal committee instead of making public statements.
