Former President Goodluck Jonathan has paid a courtesy visit to Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio in Freetown.
Jonathan is undertaking the visit in his capacity as Special Envoy of President Bola Tinubu.
The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Sierra Leone as well as broader regional issues within the ECOWAS sub-region.

President Bio’s administration has maintained close ties with Nigeria, with both countries often collaborating on economic and security matters in the sub-region.
