Teddy A, the reality TV star, has shared his views on marriage, saying he does not like the idea of a “stay-at-home” wife.
In a recent round table conversation on Echo Room, the
former BBNaija housemate said he enjoys supporting women and has no issue being
with a successful or “high-value” woman.
He, however, added that he does not support the idea of a
“stay-at-home wife” because he believes that they could enjoy the fruits of
their hard work when they are much older.
Teddy A maintained that while he appreciates having a “high
value” wife, he still values submission in the marriage.
“The way I see a woman, I love to support a woman. I have no
problem having a high-value woman; I do not want a stay-at-home wife. I hate
that s**t, we both have got to get it so when we get older, we can enjoy what
we have worked on together. But the point where you miss it is when you are not
submissive,” he said.
His statement comes amid months of rumours of a marital
crisis between him and Bambam, his celebrity wife.
The speculation intensified after observant fans noticed
that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking widespread
reactions on social media.
The rumours gained momentum in February when both
celebrities shared separate Valentine’s Day photos on their Instagram pages.
In 2019, the former BBNaija housemates had their white
wedding in Dubai. They welcomed their first child in 2020. In 2022, they
announced the birth of their second child.
