Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has commended the Federal Government for the impactful projects being executed by the North-West Development Commission (NWDC) across Kano and other states in the region.
The governor specifically lauded President Bola Tinubu for the commission’s interventions, describing them as life-changing for the people of the North-West.
This commendation was made on Saturday when Governor Yusuf received the Minister of State for Regional Development, Alhaji Uba Ahmad, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Kano.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, issued a statement on the development.
“The North West Development Commission will surely continue to touch the lives of people in the region.
We have seen several developments and interventions in the region; we have to thank Mr President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for this development,” Yusuf was quoted as saying.
In his remarks, the minister appreciated the Kano State Government for its support to the commission, particularly the donation of two hectares of land for the construction of the NWDC’s permanent site and the provision of vehicles.
He assured that the commission would sustain its partnership with the state government to ensure that developmental interventions reach the intended beneficiaries effectively.
The North-West Development Commission was established to address infrastructural deficits and promote socio-economic growth in the region.
