Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has extended warm birthday greetings to former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, describing him as a “brother and fellow patriot.”
In a message posted on his verified X account on Wednesday, Atiku lauded Amaechi’s courage, conviction, and long years of dedicated service to Rivers State and the nation.
“Your courage, conviction, and years of service to Rivers State and Nigeria continue to inspire many across the nation. I wish you good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service to our dear country,” Atiku wrote.
The message comes at a time when Amaechi has been in the news following his recent participation in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary and his subsequent political moves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku and Amaechi have maintained a cordial relationship despite belonging to different political platforms in the past.
