Former Minister of Transportation and frontline presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chibuike Amaechi, has commended the conduct of the party’s presidential primary in Ward 8, Ubima, in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, describing the exercise as free, fair and transparent.
Addressing journalists after participating in the voting
process, the former Rivers State governor said he was satisfied with the level
of organisation and credibility recorded during the exercise.
He also assured party members and Nigerians of an inclusive
style of leadership if he emerges as the ADC presidential candidate.
Amaechi further called on Nigerians to make competence and
character the basis for their choices in the next election, rather than ethnic
or religious considerations.
He is contesting the ADC presidential ticket alongside
former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and businessman Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
