Chelsea are ready to sanction their first summer transfer under new manager Xabi Alonso, with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen expected to leave Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are open to selling the Danish goalkeeper after he expressed his desire to leave the club in search of regular playing time, according to BBC Sport.
Jorgensen joined the Premier League side from Villarreal two seasons ago and was expected to challenge Robert Sanchez for the number one spot.
However, the 24-year-old managed just 11 Premier League appearances across two seasons at Stamford Bridge.
The report stated that although Alonso’s arrival could have offered the goalkeeper a fresh opportunity, Jorgensen has already made his intention to leave known to the club.
Chelsea had blocked a possible move for the shot-stopper during the January transfer window, but the club are now willing to listen to offers.
European and English clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation ahead of a potential summer move.
