The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Sam Amadi, has described the internal political crisis in the African Democratic Congress, ADC, as self-inflicted.
Amadi made this statement on Monday while fielding questions
in an interview on Arise Television.
His remark comes by barely 24 hours after Peter Obi and
Rabi’u Kwankwaso dumped the party for the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC.
According to him, “Many people have expressed concern about
the formation of the ADC. There are several issues the party failed to address
decisively, including zoning, consensus, and direct primaries.
“Now, the party is weakened at what should be its strongest
point. There are several issues.
“The ADC crisis is self-inflicted. Lack of clarity on
foundational issues is the bane.”
