Fresh concerns over xenophobia have emerged in South Africa after viral videos showed locals confronting African immigrants and staging anti-foreigner protests.
In one video circulating on social media, a group of South Africans is seen questioning a Ghanaian migrant about his decision to move to the country.
“This thing of you guys moving from one country to the other, it's no longer working,” a woman in the group said. Another protester added, “We don’t want Africans here.”
The clips have sparked renewed debate over the treatment of African nationals in South Africa, with many online users condemning the hostility toward fellow Africans.
