President Bola Tinubu has appointed former Minister of Power, Rilwan Lanre Babalola, as Special Adviser on Power and Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Power Sector Reset.
Babalola, who served as Minister of Power from 2008 to 2010, is expected to lead efforts to drive reforms and improve performance in Nigeria’s power sector.
The Presidential Taskforce on Power Sector Reset is tasked with coordinating policy interventions, resolving bottlenecks, and accelerating delivery across the electricity value chain.
The appointment is part of the administration’s renewed push to address Nigeria’s longstanding electricity challenges and boost energy supply nationwide.
