Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has raised the alarm that terrorists are planning coordinated attacks on critical infrastructure in Abuja and Niger State.
According to a security memo obtained by The Cable, the planned targets include Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, a correctional facility (prison) in the FCT, and a military detention centre in neighbouring Niger State.
The memo, which has been circulated to relevant security agencies, warns of imminent threats and calls for heightened vigilance and proactive measures to foil the planned attacks.
No further details on the suspected groups or specific timing of the attacks were disclosed in the report.
