The Nigerian Senate has approved President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s request for a $516 million loan from the World Bank.
The approval was granted on Wednesday during plenary following deliberations on the loan facility, which is meant to support critical infrastructure and economic development projects across the country.
The loan is part of the Nigeria Fiscal Sustainability and Development Programme-for-Results aimed at strengthening fiscal management, improving public service delivery, and enhancing economic resilience.
This brings the total value of external loans recently approved for the Tinubu administration in recent months.
