The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have temporarily suspended their planned nationwide shutdown of operations following an intervention by Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo.
The airlines had threatened to ground all flights from April 20 over the sharp rise in the price of Jet A1 aviation fuel.
The suspension of the planned industrial action was announced after talks with the minister, with both parties now engaged in further negotiations to resolve the crisis.
