Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Monday hosted top leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) at his residence in Abuja.
Among the NDC chieftains present at the meeting was Mohammed Bakin, the party’s National Vice Chairman (North-West).
According to sources within the Kwankwasiyya movement, the NDC leaders used the opportunity to formally invite Kwankwaso to join their party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The closed-door meeting is seen as part of ongoing political realignments and coalition talks among opposition figures and parties as preparations for 2027 intensify.
