Ini Dima-Okojie, the Nigerian actress, and Abasi Ene-Obong, her husband, are expecting their first child.
In a post via Instagram on Wednesday, the film star shared a
video of herself in a flowing white gown, proudly showing off her baby bump.
In an accompanying caption, Dima-Okojie expressed gratitude,
saying the experience felt like a divine blessing unfolding in perfect timing.
She added that she feels deeply grateful and overwhelmed with joy as she embraces motherhood for the first time, describing it as a “miracle, privilege and a calling”.
She further reflected on how the journey has brought
emotional and physical changes, noting that she feels honoured and thankful to
be trusted with the gift of motherhood.
“There are moments when words feel too small for what God
has done. This is one of those moments. In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has
been writing a story only He could tell. A story of grace. Of love. Of perfect
timing,” she wrote.
“God has been so kind. So faithful. So intentional. And now,
my heart is holding a love I have never known before. I get to be a mother.
What a miracle. What a privilege. What a calling.
“Before 1formedyou in the womb I knew you.”.. Jeremiah 1:5
Every day, I am in awe. Every day, I whisper thank you.
“My body is changing, my heart is expanding, and my life
will never be the same again. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank You
Jesus, for trusting me with this gift.”
Dima-Okojie tied the knot with Abasi Ene-Obong, who was once
a fan of the actress, in May 2022.
Their wedding featured a traditional ceremony celebrating
Edo and Efik cultures, followed by a white wedding.
The actress has been vocal about her battle with fibroids.
In 2025, she revealed that the condition returned after she underwent surgery
to remove them in 2020, describing the experience as “heartbreaking”.
