How Chuba Okadigbo Predicted Tinubu Would Become Nigeria’s President – Lagos GAC Chairman

Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Chairman of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), has recounted how the late former Senate President, Chuba Okadigbo, prophesied in 1992 that Bola Ahmed Tinubu would one day emerge as President of Nigeria.

Olusi made the disclosure on Wednesday during the inauguration of the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the E-GIS project, and the Alausa complex in Lagos.

According to him, the prophecy came after Tinubu, then a Senator representing Lagos West, stepped down in the race for Senate President in favour of Okadigbo during the Third Republic.

“We are all happy that God is leading President Tinubu to carry out his work,” Olusi said. “I want to remind some people because they may have forgotten. It was in this Ikeja that Tinubu started his political journey.”

Olusi explained that despite suggestions that Tinubu should begin his political career on Lagos Island, divine will directed him to Ikeja. From there, Tinubu rose to become a senator. When the opportunity arose to contest for Senate President, Tinubu displayed good character by conceding the position to Okadigbo.“And God used the mouth of Okadigbo to prophesy that Bola Tinubu that you are seeing will become the future president of Nigeria,” Olusi stated.

He added that he himself had also received and delivered a similar divine message about Tinubu’s destiny. Olusi recalled an encounter with the late Otunba Bola Adewunmi, a brilliant lawyer and former Chairman of Somolu Local Government, who later became a pastor.

“Otunba Bola Adewunmi called me to his house in Maryland, Ikeja. He said he prayed and God showed him that Tinubu would become President of Nigeria, and that I was the one to deliver the message. Today, he is the President,” Olusi said.
