Funke Akindele, the Nollywood actress, has addressed claims that she snubbed Fuji music icon Wasiu Alabi Pasuma at a recent event.
The incident reportedly took place in February during a
birthday ceremony organised by actress Fathia Williams, where Pasuma was the
headline performer.
In one clip circulating online, Akindele appears deeply
engaged in conversation as Pasuma approaches her. However, another footage from
the same event clearly showed the pair exchanging pleasantries.
Despite the existence of the friendlier clip, a user on X
alleged that Akindele deliberately snubbed Pasuma.
The claim quickly gained traction, sparking divided
opinions. Some users accused the actress of having a history of ignoring fellow
celebrities, while others argued that a negative agenda was being pushed
against her.
In response, Akindele denied the allegation, emphasising her
respect for Pasuma as her senior colleague.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted
him, danced with him. pasuma is my Egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,”
she wrote.

Her reaction comes shortly after another public controversy
involving her and colleague Toyin Abraham.
During the screening of ‘The Return of Arinzo,’ a film
produced by Iyabo Ojo, Akindele was accused of publicly snubbing Abraham.
In the aftermath, Abraham vowed that such an incident would
not happen again.
