Ogun State-owned airline, Gateway Air, has unveiled plans to commence scheduled commercial operations on multiple domestic routes as part of efforts to boost air connectivity across Nigeria.
The announcement was made in a statement issued over the weekend by Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun.
According to the statement, flights will begin on Monday, 13th April 2026 on the following routes:
Iperu to Abuja
Abuja to Port Harcourt
Abuja to Calabar
Abuja to Jos
Iperu to Kano
The airline said the one-way flights will operate four days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), with economy fares starting from as low as ₦100,000.
This development is expected to improve regional accessibility, stimulate economic growth, and offer passengers safer, more convenient, and affordable air travel options within Nigeria.
Passengers are advised to book early and keep updated via the airline’s official communication channels for flight schedules and other details.
Hon. Kayode Akinmade emphasized that Gateway Air is fully committed to providing safe, efficient, and customer-focused air services.
