The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has unveiled a new digital platform aimed at tackling recruitment fraud and promoting greater transparency in Nigeria’s public service.
The platform was officially launched on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Presidential Villa Banquet Hall in Abuja during the Commission’s fifth session.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, performed the inauguration on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
Under the leadership of Executive Chairman Hon. Hulayat Mutunayo Omidiran, the innovative portal is designed to make job searching easier and more reliable for Nigerians.
Users will be able to identify states with active recruitments, access verified accommodation information, and connect directly with authentic recruiting agencies.
The initiative is also expected to strengthen accountability and ensure better compliance with federal character principles by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
FCC spokesperson Ademola Lawrence announced the development via the Commission’s official X handle @fccnigeria, describing it as a major leap towards a fairer and more transparent recruitment process.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Sadiq Wanka, commended the FCC for using technology to foster national unity and improve institutional effectiveness.
Omidiran reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ongoing reforms, promising to enhance service delivery and build stronger public trust in its mandate.
The launch was witnessed by top government officials, including the First Lady, who also praised the initiative.
