Former Senate Chief Whip, Senator Hosea Agboola, on Wednesday led over 1,000 defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, while declaring strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Agboola, popularly known as “Alleluyah,” made the announcement at the Ibadanland Stakeholders’ Summit held at A3 Hotel, Sango, Ibadan.
The defectors were drawn from the 11 local government areas in Ibadanland.He assured that his group, the Alleluyah Reformed Movement, has the capacity to mobilise between four and five million votes for Tinubu in the next general election.
Agboola, who defected from the PDP to the APC in October 2025, dismissed suggestions that the PDP remained strong, citing the massive turnout as proof of a significant shift in political loyalty.
Leaders of the movement pledged full support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and vowed to deliver victory for the APC at all levels in 2027.
