A pro-Tinubu campaign organisation in Ekiti State has reconstituted its consultative committee as part of intensified efforts to secure overwhelming support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Engineer Kayode Ojo Campaign Organisation, led by a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and governorship aspirant in the state, aims to deliver at least 90 per cent of Ekiti State’s votes to the President.
Chairman of the reconstituted committee, Adebayo Morakinyo, disclosed this during the inauguration in Ado-Ekiti. He emphasised that the move is designed to galvanise grassroots support and highlight Tinubu’s achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Morakinyo, speaking through the organisation’s spokesperson, Femi Awojobi, urged supporters to begin aggressive mobilisation across the state by educating voters on the President’s policies in key sectors such as education, infrastructure, health, agriculture, power, and economic recovery.
“The group will engage with voters directly, particularly at the grassroots level, highlighting Tinubu’s accomplishments across the state to sensitise the people and keep them abreast of various policies and programmes being implemented by the Federal Government,” he said.
He added that the committee, which includes Ilesanmi Oguntuase as Secretary, Mrs Bose Yakubu as Treasurer, and Mr Ajayi Daramola as Organising Secretary, will be guided by the EKO Movement Elders Advisory Committee headed by Prof Afolabi Popoola.
Plans include radio programmes, empowerment initiatives, sensitisation campaigns, and direct voter engagements. Morakinyo stressed that Tinubu must not secure less than 90 per cent of the votes in Ekiti State, describing the target as achievable through strategic and sustained mobilisation.
He also called on eligible voters yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Kayode Ojo Campaign Organisation expressed confidence that continued focus on critical areas under Tinubu’s administration would bring more dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
