Blord arraigned, remanded in Kuje prison for ‘impersonating’ VeryDarkMan

A federal high court in Abuja on Wednesday ordered the remand of Linus Williams Ifejirika, the cryptocurrency entrepreneur known as Blord, at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Blord is accused of criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the unauthorised use of identity of Martins Vincent Otse, the activist popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

The case stemmed from allegations made by VeryDarkMan, who accused Blord of using his image for an unauthorised .

Following Blord’s court appearance, the judge ordered his remand until April 27, 2026.

VeryDarkMan shared a video from the courthouse, celebrating the development.

“LINUS WILLIAMS IFEJIRIKA A.K.A BLORD have been remanded at the Kuje correctional center. He is remanded for 26 days, meaning he will be spending his Easter in prison,” he wrote.

“BLORD was arraigned today 1/4/2026 at the Federal High Court in Abuja on different count charges. As you all know Mr Linus forged flight tickets with my name “Martins Otse” and claimed I was coming to Onitsha to join him in launching his blunt gadget app.

“He also claimed he paid me 500 million naira to be his brand ambassador. He also claimed I Martins Vincent Otse approved billpoint app. He printed a billboard with my face on it and claimed I was his ambassador without my permission. He also printed different fliers with my face on them claiming we agreed. All of these are false.”

Legal practitioner Marshal Abubakar confirmed the remand, detailing the swift legal action.

“We bundled d guy from Awka straight to Abuja… we shall also avail him free food, free medicare, free security… if u play, u learn d hard way,” he wrote on social media.

The detention has drawn criticism from activist Omoyele Sowore, who condemned the celebration of the incarceration.

He added that he would work to ensure the case is discontinued and Blord is released.

“No one should celebrate the incarceration of any person under the color of law,” Sowore wrote on X.

“Sending Blord to prison is not a victory for legal brilliance or advocacy. Rather, it risks emboldening a system of oppression that weaponises the law against citizens.”

Blord is the founder of the Blord Group, a conglomerate with interests in real estate and fintech through companies such as Blord Real Estate Ltd., Blord Jetpay Ltd., and Billpoint Technology with a strong emphasis on cryptocurrency trading.
