Five persons have been killed in strikes conducted by the US and Israel on an Iranian city located near the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian state media reports on Sunday that US-Israeli
strikes targeted a quay in the Iranian port city, resulting in the death of
five people.
The official news agency IRNA stated that the “enemy
executed a criminal assault on the quay of Bandar Khamir, resulting in five
fatalities and four injuries.”
Additionally, a series of loud explosions were reported on
Sunday throughout the Iranian capital. The explosions were audible in northern
Tehran, and smoke was observed rising from the affected areas.
The Israel Defense Forces, IDF, claims to have struck
Iranian command centers and weapons facilities.
In a recent wave of strikes, the IDF announced that it
targeted temporary Iranian command centers and weapons production and storage
sites in Tehran.
In a post on X, the IDF detailed that the targeted locations
included “facilities for the production and storage of ballistic missiles,
aerial defense systems, and observation posts belonging to the Iranian regime.”
The IDF further indicated that Iran had relocated some
command centers to temporary locations. “Several temporary command centers were
dismantled, including commanders who were operating within the headquarters,”
