Troops Take Custody of 10 Escapees from Boko Haram Abduction in Borno State

Troops from the 82 Division Task Force Battalion have received 10 individuals who escaped captivity after a Boko Haram abduction in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources reported that around 6:30 a.m. on March 24, the troops took in three adult females and seven minors.

The victims had been kidnapped by terrorists during an attack on Ngoshe on March 3 and later escaped, making their way back to the military camp in the area.

The escapees revealed that their captors are operating from the Chinene terrorist enclave, which is associated with a known militant leader, Ali Ngulde.

They also disclosed that the chief Imam of Ngoshe Central Mosque was among those abducted and remains in captivity.Authorities have begun profiling the escapees and are conducting further investigations.

The goal is to gather intelligence that could aid in the rescue of the remaining captives and help track down the terrorists responsible.

This incident is part of ongoing security challenges in the Gwoza axis, where Boko Haram activities have persisted despite military operations in the region.
