Rt. Hon. Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu, popularly known as Davematics and a former two-time PDP governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) just weeks after defecting to the ruling party.
Ombugadu confirmed his exit on Tuesday, March 25, 2026, ending a brief stay in the APC that began earlier this month following his resignation from the PDP over internal leadership crises.
His departure comes after a political support group raised concerns over alleged moves by some APC elements to undermine his 2027 governorship ambition.
Ombugadu had recently shown interest in the APC ticket and was reportedly received by Governor Abdullahi Sule and state party leaders.
Sources indicate he may be returning to the PDP, though his next political move has not been officially confirmed.
