A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, has asked party members to come together as a formidable opposition to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Momodu made this call on Wednesday on Arise Television’s
‘Morning Show’.
He was speaking on the chances of the ADC to dislodge the
ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections.
“My advice to ADC is simple. Time is not on our side. I have
attempted to contest twice, first in 2011 and then in 2023, and I know that the
head of the elephant is not a child’s thing.
“So if we really want to compete against a candidate who is
not going to be a regular candidate, we must come together immediately and take
a decision.
“In the ADC, no one can say he owns the party and nobody can
make such a claim. ADC will determine who gets the ticket based on strategy. It
won’t be at the dictate of one man or woman,” he said.
