Kabir Makko has resigned from the New Nigeria Peoples Party in Gombe State, relinquishing his position as the state party chairman.
In a resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of NNPP Akko Ward, Makko announced his decision to step down from both his membership of the party and his leadership role.
“Today, being March 23, 2026, I hereby officially resign as a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Gombe State chapter,” he stated.
Makko added that his resignation also covers his position as the state chairman of the party.
“By this resignation, I also relinquish my position as the Gombe State Party Chairman. This decision has been made after careful political consideration,” he said.
He expressed appreciation to party members and stakeholders for their support during his tenure.
“I sincerely appreciate the cooperation given to me while serving as State Chairman,” Makko noted.
Copies of the letter were also sent to the NNPP National Chairman.
