Nigerian security forces have received approximately 800 Nigerian deportees from the Niger Republic at the Jibia-Magama border in Katsina State.
The deportees, who include men, women, and children, arrived around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday aboard eight buses, according to an operational report made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Officials from the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, Police, and other intelligence agencies are currently profiling the returnees to ensure proper documentation and thorough security screening.
After profiling, the deportees will be transported to Kano State for further necessary actions. This latest influx adds to the growing number of Nigerians being deported from neighbouring countries in recent times.
