Former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has boldly declared that both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf are guaranteed victory in the 2027 general elections.
In a video circulating on X, Ganduje made the declaration while formally welcoming Governor Yusuf back into the APC fold, along with several defecting lawmakers and officials from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).“You will win your second term in 2027.
We have spoken to all aspirants, and they have agreed to support you,” Ganduje stated emphatically. He assured the governor of an automatic APC ticket and full party support.Ganduje further emphasized: “As you are coming in, we assure you that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will also win the 2027 election.
APC will stand solidly with you.” He described Yusuf’s return as a major boost to party unity and dominance in Kano State.
The high-profile defection event, which included members of the House of Representatives and other elected officials, marks a significant realignment in Kano politics. Ganduje positioned the move as a strategic consolidation ahead of 2027, strengthening the party’s base in Nigeria’s most populous northern state.
