Unknown assailants kill retired teacher in Oyo

A 67-year-old retired teacher, Mr Abel Atilola has been killed by some people whose identity have not been revealed.

It wasgathered that Atilola was killed near his farm along Irawo in Tede, ATISBO local government area of Oyo State.

It was learnt that the deceased was ambushed and subsequently killed on Monday. The deceased is said to have retired recently.

Sources narrated that the deceased had gone to his farm when he was ambushed by the assailants.

The incident had been reported to the police.

Public Relations Officer of Oyo State Police command, Olayinka Ayanlade, when contacted, confirmed the incident.

Ayanlade in a short message made available to DAILY POST noted that investigation had commenced.

In a short message made available to DAILY POST on Thursday, Ayanlade said, “investigation into his murder has commenced”.
