The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has appointed Mr. Francis Nwaze as Senior Special Assistant on Media with immediate effect.
Nwaze replaces Mr. Uchenna Orji in the position, according to a statement issued by the Minister’s Chief of Staff, who charged the new appointee to deploy his extensive experience in public communication and media relations in the discharge of his duties.
The statement noted that Nwaze previously served as Special Assistant on Media (Spokesperson) to the governor from 2019 to 2023, and earlier worked as Technical Assistant on Media between 2017 and 2019.
He holds a Diploma in Journalism, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University and Ebonyi State University.
The Chief of Staff expressed strong confidence in Nwaze’s competence, dedication, and professionalism, adding that the minister expects him to leverage his experience to strengthen public communication and advance the information and outreach objectives of the Federal Ministry of Works.
