Tinubu Funds Free JAMB Registration for 50,000 Southeast Students

President Bola Tinubu has thrown his weight behind the education of young Nigerians in the Southeast through a major initiative providing free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration for 50,000 indigent students across the region.

The program, implemented by the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), a pro-Tinubu support group covers the full registration cost (approximately ₦8,500 per student) for the upcoming UTME, including mock examinations where applicable.

It targets 10,000 deserving students from each of the five Southeast states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo.

The initiative was flagged off recently in various states, with launches and ongoing registrations aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and guardians, ensuring that talented students are not excluded from pursuing higher education due to costs.

SERHA National Coordinator Belusochukwu Enwere emphasized that the scheme aligns with President Tinubu's broader Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes youth empowerment, educational access, and removing barriers to opportunity.

Beneficiaries are positioned to access further support, such as NELFUND student loans upon admission.

The registration exercise evenly distributes support, with 10,000 students benefiting in each of the five Southeast states.

This move is seen as a strategic investment in the region's future leaders, professionals, and innovators.
