A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Adewole Adebayo, says President Bola Tinubu does not want to be in the black book of United States President Donald Trump, like the ousted Venezuelan leader, Nicolas Maduro.
Adebayo spoke on Sunday in an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Hard Copy’.
He was reacting to Tinubu’s moves after the United States designated Nigeria a country of particular concern.
“Tinubu has not secured the country properly. He’s not have time to supervise the Armed Forces correctly. He’s neither present in the country not in the lives of those in the field.
“Tinubu is not attending to his duties until the United States government through its President Donald Trump started making some comments about Nigeria, threatening to come into the country and rescue people.
“Why Tinubu is paying attention now is that he doesn’t want to be Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro,” Adebayo said.
