Anambra State Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Thursday hosted a delegation from the South East chapter of the City Boy Movement during a courtesy visit at the Light House, Government House in Awka.
The group, led by South East Coordinator Chief Dr. Obinna Iyiegbu (popularly known as Obi Cubana), used the meeting to formally introduce the movement to the governor and outline its goals.
The City Boy Movement, a youth-driven platform originally formed to support President Bola Tinubu's agenda focuses on grassroots mobilization, youth empowerment, and backing development initiatives.
Iyiegbu told Soludo the team is committed to partnering with stakeholders in Anambra to drive progress and rally support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Governor Soludo received the visitors warmly, thanking them for the engagement. In a notable moment, he donned the City Boy Movement cap, praising the group's energy and proactive approach.
He highlighted the importance of unity and collective action to push forward development and secure strong electoral outcomes in 2027.
The delegation included HE Amb. Elijah Onyeagba, PhD; Hon. Ikenna Iyiegbu; Abig Nwankwo; Mr. Lucky; Sir Nonso Ozoemena; and other zonal executives.
The visit comes amid growing political activity in the South East, with the City Boy Movement expanding its reach and structure across states to align with national priorities under the Renewed Hope agenda.
