Seyi Tinubu, Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, has launched a nationwide distribution of Fasting Relief Packages to support vulnerable households during the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent.
The initiative, which has commenced across all 36 states of Nigeria, aims to provide essential support to citizens observing these periods of prayer, fasting, reflection, and devotion. It emphasizes values of sacrifice, generosity, compassion, unity, shared responsibility, and national cohesion, bridging religious and regional divides.
The relief packages are being distributed through the coordinated efforts of the movement's state chapters and dedicated volunteers, ensuring wide reach to both urban and rural communities, vulnerable households, religious groups, and underserved families—including persons with disabilities in some states.
While specific contents of the packages vary by reports (often including foodstuffs such as rice, beverages, vegetable oil, and other essentials), examples from states like Delta, Kaduna, and Kano show thousands of packages handed out—such as 3,000 in Delta and Kaduna—bringing relief and smiles to recipients.
In a statement issued by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Oluwatosin Shoga, the outreach was described as a practical demonstration of service-oriented leadership and civic responsibility.
“The seasons of Ramadan and Lent remind us of the values that bind us as a nation: sacrifice, generosity and compassion,” Shoga said. “Through this nationwide outreach, we are reinforcing our belief that progress is strongest when communities stand together in mutual support.”
The program reflects Seyi Tinubu's ongoing commitment to youth engagement, community development, and inclusive national growth. Distribution is ongoing, with active participation and coordination at the grassroots level to maximize impact during this sacred time.
