Popular Nigerian influencer and activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has publicly alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and content creator King Mitchy (Mitchell Mukoro) are threatening his life.
In a viral video posted on his Instagram page on February 27, 2026, VeryDarkMan expressed deep fear for his safety, claiming the threats stem from his ongoing criticism of the government and a heated feud involving King Mitchy.
He stated: “Nigerians, with respect to what’s going on now, they are beginning to threaten my life. Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy are threatening my life.”
He shared a screenshot of a message allegedly sent by King Mitchy to his friend Kokopee, which read: “Hold VDM ooo. Either we talk on the phone and settle this, because the matter don serious ooo. Seyi just called me now to explain everything. Talk to VDM because what I heard just now, hmmm, I’m afraid.”
VeryDarkMan interpreted this as evidence of King Mitchy's fear after a phone conversation with Seyi Tinubu, adding: “Seyi go far ooo. Na me know wetin he tell me on phone. Protect your bro. My life is being threatened.”
In the emotional clip, VeryDarkMan further declared: “I just want to put it out there that if anything happens to me, it’s King Mitchy and Seyi.
"They both know what they’ve spoken on the phone. King Mitchy is so scared that she wants to come and meet me so that we can quickly settle to appease Seyi because Seyi is so angry.
"Seyi Tinubu is so influential and powerful that he can command the IGP and DSS boss. Anything Seyi likes, he can do.”
He linked the alleged threats to his outspoken criticism: “I want Nigerians to know that it is because I am speaking about the evil of this government that Seyi Tinubu is coming for me. A threat to my life has been issued.
"If anything should happen to me and my close ones, hold Setup Tinubu and King Mitchy responsible. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I DON’T FEEL SAFE. Seyi Tinubu has the power and connections. I DON’T FEEL SAFE.”
The controversy escalated from an ongoing dispute between VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy over her renovation of a public school in Delta State, reportedly funded in part by Seyi Tinubu.
VeryDarkMan has accused her of failing to account for public donations collected since 2025 and claimed Seyi Tinubu is sponsoring her charity efforts to improve his image amid government criticisms.
No independent verification of the alleged threats or phone conversations has been provided, and neither Seyi Tinubu nor King Mitchy has publicly responded to the claims as of the latest reports.
The video has sparked widespread reactions online, with some users expressing concern for VeryDarkMan's safety while others reference past clips of him expressing support for Seyi Tinubu in unrelated contexts.
