The Ogun State Police Command has handed over TikTok user Mirabel (real name Abigeal Nsikak) to the state’s Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, as investigations into her rape allegation continue.
Mirabel went viral in February 2026 after posting emotional videos claiming she was sexually assaulted at her residence in the Ogijo area on February 15.
The case initially drew attention from the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency before being referred to Ogun authorities, given the location of the alleged incident.
According to a February 25 police statement, Mirabel voluntarily reported to a station, underwent medical examination to verify her claims, and has remained cooperative with investigators.
For her welfare and access to psychosocial support, she has now been transferred to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, which will ensure her availability for any further police interviews.
Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation including unverified claims and circulated audio recordings while the investigation proceeds professionally and sensitively.Updates are expected as inquiries continue.
