Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that no previous leader in Nigeria's history has provided as much support to sub-national governments as the current administration.
Governor Sani highlighted that this unprecedented backing from the federal government has enabled many states, including Kaduna, to operate effectively without resorting to new loans. He stated that today, some governors, including himself are running their states without borrowing, thanks to the financial and policy assistance provided by President Tinubu.
Speaking in defense of Tinubu's interventions, the governor emphasized that this level of support for states and local governments stands out as historic. He credited the president's approach with helping sub-nationals navigate economic challenges and maintain fiscal stability.
Governor Sani has previously noted that his administration has not taken any new loans since assuming office, relying instead on federal allocations, grants, and prudent management factors he links to Tinubu's supportive policies toward the states.
