with an ambulance assigned to transport athletes requiring medical attention.
According to Omotoso, event officials immediately intervened
upon noticing the incident.
The emergency medical team quickly evaluated the woman at
the scene and provided initial treatment before transferring her to a public
hospital for further assessment.
“She sustained minor bruises and complained of chest
discomfort, but she was stabilised on-site, and her vital signs were
monitored,” Omotoso stated.
He added that she is currently receiving medical care and
responding positively to treatment.
The Lagos State Ministry of Health, together with the Sports
Commission, are closely monitoring the situation.
Senior government officials have visited the hospital to
ensure proper attention and care.
Omotoso reassured the public that a thorough investigation
is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The situation drew attention online after a video circulated
