Portable, the controversial Nigerian singer, says he has been paid N40 million for agreeing to fight streamer Carter Efe in a boxing match.
The singer took to Instagram to reveal that the money is for
consenting to the bout, stating that he is confident of defeating Charter.
He further revealed that businessman E-Money and producer
Soso Soberekon have each promised him N50 million and a car if he secures
victory.
“I have collected N40 million from the organisers of the
match to beat Carter Efe. They gave me the money just for agreeing to the
fight. It is certain that I will beat him,” he said
“E-Money and Soso Soberekon have also said they will give me
N50 million each if I win the match, along with a car from E-Money.”
In a video shared on TikTok, Carter also agreed to the fight
after being informed by Soberekon that the winner would receive N50 million.
He urged the organisers to fix a date, declaring that he is
fully prepared for the match.
“Make them put date, I don ready,” he said.
This isn’t Portable’s first time trading mic stands for
boxing gloves. In April 2025, he defeated his colleague Speed Darlington in a
celebrity boxing match.
He also secured wins against actor Charles Okocha in
December 2023 and Kelvin Power, bodyguard to singer Kizz Daniel, in February
2024.
In December 2023, he overcame Okocha, and in February 2024,
he triumphed over Kelvin Power, the bodyguard to award-winning singer Kizz
Daniel.
