FCT polls: Foreign election observers arrive at Utako for AMAC council election

 

Foreign election observers have arrived at Polling Units 081 and 080 located at Utako LEA Primary School in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to monitor the ongoing Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) election.

The observers were seen engaging with electoral officials and assessing the voting process as accreditation and balloting continued at the polling units.

It is reported that as of 8:11 a.m. on Saturday, a heavy security presence was observed at the Registration Area Centre (RAC) of Lifecamp Primary School ahead of the ongoing AMAC council election.

However, some presiding officers reportedly indicated they were awaiting security escorts to their respective polling units.
