Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar hit the campaign trail this morning in support of Dr. Moses Paul (Dr. Mo), the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate contesting for the Chairmanship of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the forthcoming February 21 FCT Local Council elections.
Atiku announced his participation in the campaign, stating that the team’s first stop was Apo Wasa. He described Dr. Mo as a candidate whom young people in Abuja can relate to and trust with the future leadership of the Municipal Council.
In a strong show of endorsement, the former Vice President called on FCT residents, especially those in AMAC, to vote for all ADC candidates in the upcoming local elections.
He positioned the poll as the initial move toward removing what he termed the “failed APC government.”
“ADC is undoubtedly the party that will salvage Nigeria, and the surest bet is to start with Dr. Mo and AMAC,” Atiku declared.
The high-profile appearance shows Atiku’s backing for the ADC in the FCT and signals growing momentum for the party’s grassroots campaign.
Dr. Moses Paul is presenting himself as a youthful, relatable leader poised to bring fresh energy to local governance in the nation’s capital.
With Atiku’s visible involvement, the ADC hopes to galvanize support and increase voter turnout for Dr. Paul and other candidates ahead of the February 21 polls.
