Opeyemi Adamolekun, former executive director of Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria, has questioned her inclusion in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) policy and manifesto committee.
The ADC had listed Adamolekun as a member of the “50 wise
men and women policy/manifesto committee”.
In a circular signed by Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC’s national
publicity secretary, the party named John Oyegun, former governor of Edo, as
chairman of the committee; Pat Utomi, professor of political economy, as deputy
chairman; and Salihu Lukman as secretary.
The committee is responsible for developing the party’s
policy and manifesto ahead of the 2027 general election.
“Pursuant to the resolution of the National Working
Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the National
Chairman, His Excellency, Senator David A. B. Mark, GCON, has approved the
composition of the party’s policy and manifesto committee,” the circular reads.
Abdullahi said the inauguration will take place on February
2, at the ADC national secretariat in Abuja.
However, in a post on X on Wednesday, Adamolekun said she
was surprised by her inclusion on the list, faulting the party for what she
described as a lapse in credibility.
“ADC! ADC!! ADC!!! How many times did I call you? This is not how to build credibility. Please show me evidence of when I joined your party!! Na wa,” she wrote.

In June 2025, opposition politicians, including ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate; and Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers; adopted the party as the platform whose major goal is to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
