Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived at Danbaba Suntai Airport in Jalingo, Taraba State capital, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the formal reception of Governor Agbu Kefas into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Vice President’s arrival marks a major political realignment in Taraba State, as Governor Kefas officially defects from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling APC.
He was received on arrival by Governor Agbu Kefas himself, alongside a high-powered delegation that included:
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos State)
Governor Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti State)
Governor Usman Ododo (Kogi State)
Governor Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto State)
Governor Hyacinth Alia (Benue State)
Also present were Deputy Governors of Borno, Yobe, and Nasarawa States.The National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is leading a strong delegation of senior party leaders and stalwarts to formally welcome Governor Kefas and his supporters into the APC fold.
The ceremony, expected to take place later today in Jalingo, is seen as a significant boost for the ruling party ahead of future elections and reflects growing momentum for the APC in the North-East geopolitical zone.
